Marisol Vargas is a Latina of both beauty and grace, coupled with a heart full of passion and commitment. Better known as “El Bombón de Durango”, she was born on May 30 th in Durango, Mexico. At the age of 11 she came to New York City with her mother and two younger siblings, in search of the American dream. In the fall of 2002, she began studying at Marymount Manhattan College with the vision of one day graduating and hosting a show of her own on her favorite station; Amor 93.1 FM.

In 2003, at the age of 19, her dream came to fruition, as she joined the WPAT Amor presenting Mexican music. The station immediately saw a boost in their ratings, as audiences fell in love with her charm and charisma. Eventually, Marisol found herself hosting her own on-air shift and she hasn’t looked back since.

Marisol brings a fresh, up-beat, and energetic style, as she interacts with her listeners. The truth is that this Mexican woman has managed to captivate the hearts of not only her countrymen, but also a growing number of Hispanics in the Tri-State area. With over 10,000 followers, she is pushing forward and leaving her mark in the entertainment industry. She fuses entertainment and analytic insight as a dynamic radio personality, appealing to the hearts and minds of many fans.

She serves as a host at a myriad of nightclubs, and has graced numerous red carpets including the Latin Grammy Awards, movie premieres and has endorsed countless products. With over ten years of experience in the radio industry, the Mexican-born radio host is a significant force in the New York market, the toughest scene to break in to and be heard.
